This page, from the financial ledger of Stan Telchin Ministries, shows where on January 31, 2000, Stan spent $404.00 of donor money for new glasses. Also note the first entry, dated January 29, 2000, where he spent $347.50 of donor money paid to "The Tabernacle." He lists the reason as "Benevolence" when in fact, this check was for his grandson's third grade private school tuition. This is known to be the case as the school his grandson attended was The Tabernacle. The amount of the check is exactly equal to that month's tuition and more importantly, the cancelled check was uncovered in the audit and in the memo section of the check Stan wrote "Nico's tuition." This ledger shows that in a three day period of time, Stan spent $751.50 of donor money for purposes that had nothing to do with the stated mission of Stan Telchin Ministries, Inc. The many donors to Stan Telchin Ministries had no idea that Stan was spending their money in this manner. In fact, nobody had any idea until November 18, 2000 when the financial records of the ministry were uncovered. |
