When we moved to Florida to care for my mother in her final year, my parents offered to pay for my son's tuition at The Tabernacle Christian School in Sarasota, Florida.

Stan used donor money to pay for my son's 3rd grade tuition at a private school.  In this ledger he lists the check as 'benevolence'. That was shown to be untrue, as the cancelled check was not only for the exact amount of the tuition due that month, but in the memo section of the check he wrote "Nico's tuition."  The board and donors had no idea they were donating money for his grandson's private schooling.

ON LYING TO THE BOARD...

"The tuition was reimbursed, once again over a year late after he was caught (for his grandson's private elementary education) but he lied to the board, saying he wrote the check 'by mistake' when it was not a mistake, and he tried to hide it in his report by calling it 'benevolence.'"

- Treasurer and board member of Stan Telchin Ministries, from his report: November, 2002
