An email from Daryl Davis, Associate Pastor of Covenant Life Presbyterian Church in Sarasota, Florida, in which Davis insinuates a meeting of the Elders and a conclusion which never took place. He specifically references the summer of 2000, which was before Stan had even become a missionary with Jews for Jesus and was months before the discovery of Stan's fraudulent handling of donor money was discovered on November 18, 2000. Larry Edison, the senior pastor of this church, served on the board of Stan Telchin Ministries, Inc. Daryl Davis has never met us nor spoken to us and in this email he resorts to gossip and slander. My family has had a hard enough time and the last thing we need is some pastor we have never met or spoken with behaving in a manner that only serves to further hurt and divide my family.

Dear Chuck,

Thank you for your concern for us and our ministry.

Larry and I, as well as our elders, dealt with this subject about six years ago.  We are aware of Chris Lee's ongoing publicity campaign against Stan Telchin. I, personally, have read family letters, church documents, IRS documents, and Jews for Jesus correspondence, having become aware of this in the summer of 2000.

The case made against Stan Telchin is based upon a few details and circumstances from which all kinds of conclusions and insinuations are drawn. There are many people out there who would love nothing more than to bring down a prominent Jewish man who believes that Jesus is the Messiah and works for a conservative Christian organization.  Consequently, Chris Lee's story continually finds fresh fields in which to grow weeds.

I would not want to get into an extensive account of details by email, but I hope this gives you enough information to give you some peace about Stan Telchin and the Jews for Jesus.
